I came out to Spotlight Tattoo in the spring of 1999 to learn tattooing from Bob and Charlie Roberts. Thanks to Bob, Charlie, Ray, and all the other people I’ve worked with in my 5 years at the shop, I feel I’ve gotten the best education in tattooing. I focus on American and Japanese images, trying to stay true to classical forms, while paying attention to modern ideas about color and composition. This Fusion is the essence of the “Spotlight Tattoo Look” and is the reason I came to this shop to learn. Special thanks to all the people who I had the privilege to tattoo in LA and Japan.
